What is the \u201cAnchor Section\u201d?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Anchor Section is for children between the ages of 5 and 8. (Reception to Year 3)
Children in the Anchor Section are encouraged to follow an active lifestyle and to get involved in activities such as crafts, playing games and sports, going on visits and most importantly, making friends. Joining in with these activities enables the Boys to earn their badges of merit, which also acts as motivation to get involved wholeheartedly.

Uniform<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Members of the Anchor Section wear a special uniform that sets them apart from other Sections. This is a Royal Blue Polo Shirt, with a Red Sweatshirt along with their school trousers and shoes. An armband is worn on their right arm with any badges on that they have been awarded throughout their time in the Anchor Section.
Uniform plays an important part within the Boys\u2019 Brigade, as this ensure that all members feel they are all part of one single organisation<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meetings<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We meet during term time on a Wednesday between 6.15 pm – 7.30 pm <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recognising Achievement<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Children of this age are developing rapidly. There are big changes in a child\u2019s mental, emotional, social and physical development. However, all children are different and have a variety of needs. To support the Anchors grow we have a varied programme of badge work areas these include<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Get Adventurous<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Get Creative<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Get Into The Bible<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Get Involved<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Get Learning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    By completing a number of activities in each of the areas above the Anchors will gain their badges of Membership, Yellow, Green, Blue and Red. We also recognise a member\u2019s loyalty to the company by awarding a service badge for their years within the company.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
